Stand Photography Amsterdam @ IBC

IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) took place at the RAI Amsterdam, the Netherlands biggest convention center. It was once again a successful trade fair! I saw many beautiful and impressive innovations in the field of photography and video. At the same time, I completed stand photography for Design original UK, photographing four of their stands.

IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) is the most important annual event for professionals involved in the creation, management, and delivery of entertainment and news content worldwide. Major brands were present, for example Sony, DataVideo and Google. IBC is the perfect opportunity for me to maintain contacts within the world of photography, gather a lot of information and watch various product demonstrations. IBC took place in the RAI Amsterdam, a well known convention center in The Netherlands.

But before I could fully dive in, I captured four stands for Design Original: Pixotope, Xperi, Tata Communications, and MediaKind, with the Pixotope stand being my personal highlight. Instead of an open stand, which you typically see at a trade fair, this stand was ‘closed’. You had to actually walk inside to get a good look at the stand and enjoy the digital artworks and products. The stand was set up like an international gallery.

All stands were photographed both empty and with people. That’s why I had to rise early. Armed with a press pass, I was already on the trade floor at 08:00, 2.5 hours before opening. This allowed me to preview the stands and capture them empty. Once the fair started, it quickly filled up. Then I started my second round of capturing the stands, but this time with people and interaction. Below, you can see some photos from an extensive and varied series of pictures.
